About Tobias

I currently serve as Vice President for the Division of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). I approach my work with a focus on building relationships and fostering a culture of care. This culture of care philosophy is driven by the central tenet - that students and their experience are top priority. I endeavor to provide students with the service(s) they need to progress along their various paths to success.

My research dedication focuses on customer service, social justice, equity & inclusion, and preventing student departure and I have created various strategies and initiatives to advance the overall experience for such students. In addition, I have a special interest in working with first generation and historically marginalized student populations.
